Sleep Apnea

End snoring and sleep apnea with the Thornton Adjustable Positioner (TAP 3)

Stachowicz Dental Studio is excited to offer the Thornton Adjustable Positioner, also known as TAP 3, as a solution for patients who suffer from chronic snoring or sleep apnea. This revolutionary device, similar to an orthodontic retainer, is snapped over the upper and lower teeth during sleep. The positioner holds the mandible forward during sleep, thus alleviating several sleep disorders.

How does it work?

Breathing through a narrow airway produces vibrations which result in snoring, which disrupts you and your sleep mate. Snoring occurs during sleep when the muscles relax and have difficulty keeping the windpipe open. Sleep apnea occurs when the airway narrows completely, cutting off oxygen to the lungs. Without enough oxygen, the brain wakes the patient and forces the lungs to breath again. Recurring sleep apnea can be harmful for patients. TAP 3 works by repositioning the jaw to keep the patient's airway open during sleep.

Relief from day one

Most patients experience relief the very first night using their new
TAP 3 positioner. Nine of ten patients wear their TAP 3 positioner all night, every night, thus making TAP 3 one of the most trusted and successful treatments for snoring and sleep apnea.
